My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish and I’m In Therapy! is a 90-minute comedy, inspired by Solomon’s wacky family (his mother is from Palermo and his father from Russia) and all the people in his life whose sole purpose was to drive him into therapy - and they succeeded! One part lasagna, one part kreplach and two parts Prozac, you don't have to be Jewish or Italian to love this show. All you need is to know what it feels like to leave a family dinner with heartburn and a headache!
Award-winning comedian, actor and playwright, Peter J. Fogel plays more than 20 different characters in this show. He has appeared in Married with Children, Unhappily Ever After and Men Behaving Badly.

Magical History Tours
Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society will launch guided walking tours of Port Washington's historic Bay Walk shoreline! Join a knowledgeable tour guide walking the shoreline while you see and learn the fascinating history of early Port Washington. 
The 90 minute walk will meet at the Town Dock's tugboat and end one mile later at the Port North Dock, opposite the Stop & Shop / Home Goods parking lot. Topics will include the livelihoods that helped Port develop into the town you know today, including shell fishing, sand mining, aviation, the yacht clubs, the tidal mills, the restaurants, the many hotels and much more.
Tours will be held first Saturday & Sunday at 11 am through October. Adults: $8, Seniors (65+): $5, Children (12 and under): $1 (in strollers or backpacks free)  Reservations are required and group size is limited to 15.  Please register at cowneck.org. If you haven’t already, please join our town’s Historical Society. It's a meaningful way to help preserve the town's history.

Aternoon T.E.A. - Warren Schein performs The American Songbook, 2 pm
For over three decades, Warren Schein has performed in New York's most prestigious clubs, and toured throughout LA, Florida and the tri-state area. His voice over work includes the Pillsbury Dough Boy and the Lucky Charms Leprechaun. He's had featured rolls in Royal Pains, Boardwalk Empire, Saturday Night Live and Castle. He's appeared in films like Stepford Wives, Cinderella Man and Specter along side notable names like Russell Crowe and Al Pacino. On stage, he's played the roll of Igor in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. He also tours with his own shows A Musical Tribute to Mel Torme and Spend An Evening With Mr. Saturday Night.

Stannards Brook Park Cleanup
Port Washington Parks Conservancy’s Second Saturday in Stannards Brook is back for a second year. Meet for one hour from 10 am – 11 am on the second Saturday each month from May to October. Each month they tackle a new area or new planting bed to weed, collect litter, plant native shrubs, etc.
An experienced naturalist and knowledgeable guide will lead the group. The PWPC will provide gloves and bags and limited tools. Bring water and additional tools. Remember to dress for the mess, think long pants, closed shoes, hat and sunscreen.

Cow Neck Historical Society Annual Country Fair 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, the at Port Washington’s landmarked Sands-Willets House (ca. 1738-1845).
Activities for kids – a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, colonial-era games and a real fire truck to climb around in! Exhibits, raffles and tours of the historic house. Bargains in antiques, boutique items and gently-used jewelry in superb condition will be found. Honey from Port Washington’s Dodge House bees will also be for sale.  A huge selection of used books of all kinds for sale at deep discounts.  Watch expert craftspeople demonstrate their crafts, enjoy hot dogs, corn on the cob, watermelon, popcorn, cotton candy and lots of other snacks, and get a home-made fruit pie to take home.

Donovan, Sunshine Superman Fiftieth Anniversary North American Tour, 8 pm, The Sunshine Superman 50th Anniversary Tour honours an artist whose fingerprints can be seen throughout the last half-century of popular music. BeachFeast 12 – 5 pm, North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are proud to announce the 3rd Annual BeachFeast celebration. The food and spirits festival will be held at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington. Our Lady Fatima Annual Yard Sale
42 Manorhaven Blvd., from 8 am – 4 pm.
The yard sale will include a wide selection of “attic treasures”, bric / brac, toys, small appliances and baby items and much more!!
The church will be taking donations of toys (clean and complete), attic treasures, (clean), electronics and small appliances (in working order), glassware and dishes.
Again, this year they will be taking all clothes, shoes, handbags, all linens, (Towels, comforters, sheets, curtains and stuffed animals. No Pillows). All items must be clean and put in a large plastic bag.
Donations can be brought starting, Sunday, August 23 after all Masses. Collection continues: Aug 30, Sept 1-4, 8-10,14-17 between the hours of 6:30 and 8:30 pm.
If at all possible we ask the clothes donation be brought the last week. If any questions call the parish rectory 516 767-0781, 9am-12N & 1PM-5PM.

Afternoon T.E.A. Warren Schein performs A Musical Tribute to Classic Hollywood, 2 pm For over three decades, Warren Schein has performed in New York's most prestigious clubs, and toured throughout LA, Florida and the tri-state area. His voice over work includes the Pillsbury Dough Boy and the Lucky Charms Leprechaun. He's had featured rolls in Royal Pains, Boardwalk Empire, Saturday Night Live and Castle. He's appeared in films like Stepford Wives, Cinderella Man and Specter along side notable names like Russell Crowe and Al Pacino. On stage, he's played the roll of Igor in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. He also tours with his own shows A Musical Tribute to Mel Torme and Spend An Evening With Mr. Saturday Night. Enjoy an afternoon with Warren as he performs songs by George Gershwin, Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein from the Great American Songbook.
